Mississippi FAFSA deadlineApr 30, 2027
For the HELP Grant, Mississippi’s MAAPP application window closes March 31 and supporting documents — including the FAFSA — are due April 30. MTAG and MESG applications are due September 15, with supporting documents due October 15. You must reapply in MAAPP every year.

Mississippi: what to do, step by step
- 1
Create StudentAid.gov accounts — student and parent
The student and one parent each need their own account to sign the FAFSA. Identity verification can take a few days, so do this first.
- 2
File the FAFSA in time for HELP supporting docs
For HELP, have a processed FAFSA ready by April 30. Do not wait until the last day — MAAPP itself closes March 31.
- 3
Complete MAAPP and upload supporting documents
Submit the Mississippi Aid Application each year, then finish residency, income, and academic documents by the program deadline.

Check college dates, then set a filing reminder
Your real deadline is the earliest of: HELP's April 30 supporting-doc date, MTAG/MESG's October 15 path, or any earlier college date. Set a reminder for that date now.
.ics includes state + federal deadlines with 30 / 14 / 7-day reminders.

When a reminder arrives: finish filing
That email or calendar alert means the deadline is close. Finish the FAFSA, MAAPP, and uploads, then confirm each college on your list. Then you're done until aid offers arrive.
